Mississauga News - December 16, 2008, Tues. - pg.# - Letter to editor by Nancy Newton Worthy of protection Of all the properties that deserve to be protected in Mississauga, none can be more worthy than Winding Lane Bird Sanctuary on Mississauga Rd. As someone who had the privilege of meeting Roy Ivor many years ago, and then watched the devastation of much of his land to form, ironically, Ivor Woodlands, I have been greatly troubled that I would soon be seeing a - sold - sign on the property and the bulldozers moving in shortly thereafter. Bernice Inman did her very best to preserve and maintain the land as Roy had intended. Let all Mississaugans be proud that their City Council will take up where she left off and preserve this wonderful area for the future. PLEEASSE SIGN OUR PETITION It will make a difference!
