  Leave woodlot be

Dear, Editor:

RE: Your (March 3) paper,

I want to go on record P.ENG.s do not know anything about woodlots, by putting the lawn bowling club house entrance right on top of the runoff from the swamp he speaks of. The runoff now runs into the football field and has probably caused the separate school yard to flood already this year. You can check this with St. Paul's. The path which runs on the east, side of the woods is wide enough now, it is a sewer easement no cutting Is required there.

Leave the woodlot alone Mother Nature is the best P.ENG. of the swamps. Cleaning out the windfalls and swamp will only invite more goose droppings, as It is the only place you can walk the dog. If you doubt my word, the fields to the south should be banned as a playing field for children. I won't even walk my dog in there - it is covered by goose droppings. Introduction of new trees is not the answer, let the trees do their own seeding and leave the shrubs to hold the water runoff and stop the erosion of the land. We have enough goose and only one woodlot.
