MAINTENANCE LEVELS:
For the Cawthra Bush

As I do an exhausting amount of research into City of Mississauga documents to discover just exactly they have planed for the Cawthra Bush, here is something the City putout in 1988.  It shows what kind "PARK" the City really wanted to make the Cawthra Bush into. In 1988 the City had not yet come to own the top of the Cawthra Bush.

I have asked City staff to explain the high levels of park maintenance shown in this official City document and all they can say is that it is litter pick up.  Not only is that not in keeping with the clearly stated activities listed below but they also don't do the litter pick up.  Thank god they don't do the "Fine turf maintenance" throughout the forest (so far).

Key       PARKLAND - Maintenance levels are indicated on the Park Maintenance
District Map according to the following color codes:
High Maintenance Level
Fine turf maintenance and horticultural operations within high profile areas. This includes high profile parklands, all  sports fields, within parks and the grounds maintenance around public buildings.

Medium Maintenance Level
Fine turf maintenance operations in general parklands and all permitted sports facilities within school sites. This  includes  all horticultural operations within general parklands.

Low Maintenance Level
"Rough cut" turf maintenance operations and/or areas designated as natural woodlot areas.
