Hello Paulina In March 2002, the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario issued an Order as a result of an appeal filed by Donald Barber. This order confirmed conditions of a previously issued Order and also imposed additional conditions on Donald Barber as follows: "the City is not required to respond to any communications from the appellant unless it is in response to a properly filed access request (in accordance with Order M-947) or it is in direct response to a request by the Freedom of Information Coordinator for clarification from him". I will send you a copy of the memo I sent to all departments on March 4, 2002. The condition I Quoted clearly states that the City is not required to respond to any communication from him unless it is in response to a properly filed access request, meaning a request under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. You will note from the memo I am sending you that he is restricted in that area as well. My suggestion, therefore, is that you not respond to his letter. We received a letter today from Mr. Don Barber regarding a proposed OPA and Rezoning for 1619-1623 Northmount Avenue. In his letter he says that he would like to have a meeting with Planning to discuss the proposal and that the residents have said that they want to have a focus group for the development. Carmen Corbasson asked residents at two ward meetings if anyone wanted to be on a focus group and apparently no one signed up. I will forward you a copy of the letter through inter-office mail.
